Sometimes it can feel like you're being taken for a ride with all this Content Marketing shenanigans, I mean your meant to spend $30k a year on this and you may not see a meaningful return on your investment for at least a year or at all?
Most CEOs on planet earth would not take kindly if you ever brought that to them - so what are some metrics you can show them that maybe this Content Marketing thing works?
CMI did a good post on this very topic that shows metrics that don't directly tie to revenue but can be a good indication of what your doing could be working.
So what are they:
• Social Shares
• Pages per visit
• CTRs of your Call to Actions
• Customer churn rate
• ... and a bunch of others.
It’s a tough sell, but if you can show the above metrics are going up and to the right - you may be able to keep your job a little longer.
